Fragrant, crispy, well-baked scones are so tasty that they simply cannot be compared to loaves of bread sold in the store. This is not surprising! Cakes are baked in the old way - in tandoor. In the oven of the gas stove, it’s impossible to bake such a cake - all the taste qualities will be lost. Tandoors are very different in form and purpose: in some they bake bread, in others - only samsa (unfermented cakes with lamb and fat of sheep tail) and in the third they fry meat. Tandoors can be placed on a special elevation and have the shape of a halve of a huge egg with a large hole on the side.The walls are thick, covered with clay. This "half of the egg" is heated either with charcoal, or in urban conditions with a gas burner. And so that the heat does not go away, the inlet of this "hole" is tightly closed with a lid. During the masterclass you will learn how to prepare a dough for it and enjoy the process of creating such a flat bread. The masterclass is held in the ethnographic museum, 35km from Baku. The workshop accommodates about 20 people, but there is a possibility to break a large number of people into groups and hold them alternately.
